The Pelvis Bowen Therapy Workshop
“Pelvic-related issues are one of the most common presentations at many Bowen clinics.
Research tells us that almost 25% of women over the age of 50 are known to have pelvic-related pain, and these clients tend to be a large proportion of our Bowen demographic.”
Chris Reed
THE PELVIS BOWEN THERAPY WORKSHOP OPEN TO ALL PRACTITIONERS Prerequisite: Module 7
Chris will deconstruct some of the most common issues your clients present with for this important and complex region of the body and give you strategies to follow further increasing your confidence and the effectiveness of your treatments.
In this workshop we will explore:
- Relevant anatomy
- Targeted Assessments
- Common pathologies of the pelvis and related regions above and below
- Relevant Bowen procedures at all levels
- Rehabilitation and the best “send home advice” for different presentations
- Bowen and RockTape applications
- Exercise during pregnancy
By the end of the workshop you will walk away with:
- An opportunity to fine tune your palpation skills
- More confidence in establishing clearer clinical impressions from identified differentials
- Educational opportunities for your clients to help them improve their outcomes
- Algorithm for assessment, treatment and rehabilitation
- Knowledge of contemporary evidence for pelvic regional pain syndromes
- Fine tuning relevant Bowen therapy procedures
Many of our clients present with pelvic, lateral hip, and related lumber or leg pain. This workshop and the accompanying workbook provide up to date information the Bowen therapist can use to assist in determining a good clinical impression through knowledge of common differentials and validated clinical tests. This then allows the Bowen therapist to proceed with the most effective treatment within the Bowen therapy framework.
